I think my Lavatube e-cigarette is broken. I am able to vape with it, but nothing happens when I press the voltage adjustment buttons. I can turn the Lavatube off and back on, and even remove the battery, but the voltage is stuck. Should I contact Volcano for help?
I have some good news for you: your Lavatube isn’t broken. You have actually engaged the voltage lock, which is one of the Lavatube’s built-in safety features. This prevents someone from accidentally changing the voltage from 3.0 to 6.0 volts — or vice versa — and getting an unexpected surprise the next time they press the fire button.
You can activate or remove the voltage lock by holding the “+” and “-” buttons simultaneously for about five seconds. The Lavatube’s screen turns off and comes back on to let you know that you have locked or unlocked the voltage. If the lock was previously enabled, you can now change the voltage by pressing either button.
